It is reliably learned that Commissioner KVS met the Expenditure Secretary yesterday & Govt.has agreed to release the 7th CPC implementation orders for KVS very soon..hope for the best. Orders for NVS also released.

  • S R Mishra says:

Good news for KV staff indeed.

Just one more thought that I would like to share with you…
I think efforts should also be made to get retirement age extended for kv employees up-to 65 years because
    1) Lifeexpectency has gone up from 44.1years to 66.9years between 1961 to 2011.
    2) if 67years old our PM and Dr. Subhash Chandra can rock ..then why not a govt employees?
    3) retirement ages in other countries are as follows Albania – 65Years , UK- 65 years, USA -66 years, Greece- 67 years,Germany -65 years.
    4) Retirement age of lecturers is 65years.
    5) Retirement age of IIT lecturers has been extended up to 70 years.

    MR Mishra,
I would be happy if it is done but i feel kvs is not a institution where one would like to stay for so long. It is the worst institution as far as teachers are concerned.

  • MJ says:

CGHS Facility : Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has extended the CGHS facility to the employees of KVS(HQ) and non-teaching staff of KVS Regional Office, Delhi. Besides this, CGHS facilities have also been extended by the DGHS to the teaching staff as well as non-teaching staff of Regional Offices and Kendriya Vidyalayas, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore

fURTHER NO MACP FOR KVS TEACHERS ONLY BUT EXTENDED TO NON TEACHING STAFF.

Still if some one wants to continue to work in kvs HATS OFF TO HIM AND HIS REASONS.

I personally feel kvs treats its teachers community step motherly.

HENCE I URGE ALL PROSPECTIVE OR NEWLY APPOINTED TEACHERS TO LOOK FOR OTHER INSTITUTIONS BECAUSE LATER YOU WILL REPENT WHEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE.

THIS IS ORGANISATION ONLY FOR FOOLS WHO ARE UNABLE TO GET JOBS ELSEWHERE AND CORRUPT PEOPLE.
    Reasons :

NO MACP FOR KVS TEACHERS .ALL STATE AND CENTRAL AND AUTONOMOUS SCHOOL TEACHERS GET MACP IN INDIA KVS IS THE ONLY INSTITUTION IN INDIA WHICH DOES NOT GIVE MACP BENEFIT TO ITS TEACHERS.

NO CONSISTENT TRANSFER POLICY. Changes every second year to suit the needs of a few category of people This institution has become a place wives of kvs teachers , state and central government employee as policy out right favours them.

Finally no medical facility for teachers. No higher education loan for teachers etc. JUST KEEP WORKING LIKE A DONKEY WITHOUT ANY PROMOTION FOR PGT TEACHERS.

These are true facts and experience of retired kvs teachers who joined as PGT teachers and completed 30 years of service and retired as PGT teachers.

With no benefits of medical care except 500 medical allowance. PITY ON KVS.

I agree with Majumdaar Ji, nobody would like to stay in KVS as a teacher for long as it never bothers for the welfare of its teachers. No avenues for their promotion and financial benefits are available in it.

  • Bina Bindra says:

Sir, why is it that KV staff from Jammu and Kashmir are not covered under CGHS and while as in other states KV staff are issued CGHS cards . Recently I shifted residence from Jammu to Faridabad and had been to office of CGHS at R.K.Puram New Delhi with all relevant forms but they refused to issue me the card and said that this facility is available only to those employees who have retired from Delhi and NCR and since you have retired from Jammu as such you are not eligible for such facility. Why this discrimination ? Even other states extend this facility to the KV Staff. What is the way out to end this apathy. The CGHS authorities say this is policy decision . See how our policy makers make policies.

Pay Fixation on Promotion or MACP in 7th CPC – Option Calculation with illustrations

    7th CPC Promotion Option Calculation

All the central government employees are in busy with calculating which Option is beneficial to them in order to get full benefit from 7th CPC Revised pay.

Actually there is no dilemma for CG employees those who didn’t get any Promotion/MACP from 1st January to 1st July 2016. There are some cases in this category that choosing Option to revise Pay from Date of Next Increment gives more benefit than opting 1.1.2016 to revise 7th CPC Pay.
The government servants those who got Promotion / MACP in the Period from 2nd January to 1st July are finding it difficult to decide which Option is correct and More beneficial to them. No body in the administrative Department ready to guide the right way to the Government servants since there is no clarity in 7th CPC in respect of Revising/Fixing pay on Promotion Date. But It was clearly illustrated in Sixth CPC.

Let us workout the Pay Fixation in different Options to revise pay in 7th CPC to understand which Option is Beneficial in Longer run.
    Let us take an example,
Assume a government servant has been promoted to Next Grade to 2800 on any date between 2nd January 2016 to 1st July 2016. Let us take 1st march 2016 was his date of Promotion.
His existing pay as on 1.1.2016 = Band Pay of 9100 + Grade pay of 2400 = 11500
If He Choose Option -I to revise his Pay from 1.1.2016

    7th-CPC-Promotion-Option

    If He Choose Option -II
    a) Pay revision on Increment Date
    7th-CPC-Option-Calculation
    b) Fixation for Option to revise Pay on Promotion Date need to be Clarified by Government
Since there is no Grade pay involved in 7th CPC, Adding Grade Pay difference on Promotion date is not applicable in 7th Pay Commission for this category.
Which Option is More beneficial ..?
From the above calculation, it shows that Selecting Option -II to revise Pay with effect from Date of Next Increment i.e 1st July 2016 is more beneficial than Option-I.

It may differ to individual to individual based on Grade Pay and no of increments earned in that Particular Grade.

The Impact of Selecting Option -II in the above case
    a. Pay revision come into force with effect from 1st July 2016,
    b. You have to travel in Sixth CPC Pay up to 30th June 2016
    c. So There will be no arrears for the Period from January 2016 to June 2016
