  • MANISH BAJPAYEE says:

    Sir,
Why are you neglecting the pay anomalies of direct appointee before 1.1.2006. The direct appointee teachers of year 2001- 2005 are getting less salary than appointee in 2006 and 2oo7. There seniority in pay also lost. For ex I am Nov 2002 appointee TGT and now getting only 14300 in pay band. I never got entry scale on 1.1.06. there are many similar cases. Pay is different in different regions of same year appointee. But even after many requests AIKVTA is not perusing this matter. is AIKVTA is only considering the demands of old teachers and not new one? Why are you not raising this issue?

    • MANISH BAJPAYEE says:

      Sir,

Please raise voice against pay anomalies of direct appointed teachers in year 2001-2005. They are getting less salary. and even their salaries are differently fixed in different regions.

I wish to ask one query. In the latest transfer request format point for completing no. of years in the present KV is calculated up to 31st March of respective year. Actual transfers are taking place in the month of Apr-May. Now while feeling up the form in the month of Jan. that perticular year not taken in to consideration. e.g. Joined in the school on 20th May 2010. While filling up the form teacher has to write completed 1 year only because Mar 2012 yet to come.(when teacher has written 2 years, local school authorities told to write 1 year) For a teacher, year is to be June to May i.e. education year and not the financial year. This reduces the transfer count for no. of year services. Please clarify. Thanks.

Dear Sir, Gone through the MOM with the commissioner. No deceision or even discussion regarding Music Teacher TGT post and scale. Your earlier demands was having that point.

    • A.S.Mazumdar says:

That point stands along with other demands of AIKVTA submitted in the month of Sept’11 in discussion with VC KVS..These discussions were urgent ,particularly the matter of harassment of AIKVTA office bearers and MACP.

KV teachers are burdened with unbearable work load which canot be compared with any teachers in this country.Their work do not limit in the classes. It extends through out the day and night. We are mocking the west by introducing CCE and grading with out corrosponding infrastructure, staff and training.Authorities send circulers which are redundant, always add to the work load of teachers. Now they discovered that there is a clouse in RTE to increase working hours.KVS is not bothered about the student teacher ratio which will largely affect the quality of education. An unscientific transfer policy, nonimplimentation of MACP etc are immediate problems which needs urgent solutions. An expert committee from out side the KVS may be constituted to study the work of KV teachers before increasing the working time of teachers
        Raju PG Kchi

  • Abraham John C says:

Friends, why don’t we have the school working hours increased from 37 hrs to 45 hours? We are all capable of doing it. But in that case no ‘TAKE HOME WORK’possible. I think, if, BOG has decided it, then all the BOG members will agree with ‘ NO TAKE HOME WORK’ other wise they are ignorant of the take home work in KVS and then BOG is just a decorative forum.

  • RANBIR SINGH says:

I would like to draw attention of the authority through you ie No weigtage is given to the distance in the transfer policy. A person is station in the home town and other is station at 3000 kms away from his home town . where as both are given the same two marks per completed year. Can it be correct.

2.THEIR ARE NO GENUINE SELECTION CRITERION FOR INCENTIVE AWARDS.THE PROCESS OF SELECTION MUST BE TRANSPARENT.

  • anjali das says:

Minutes of BOG is now available on KVS Website. It is an irony of fate that the teachers community is always victimized by the government.previously the salary was very low in spite of higher education and now when it has been increased, the pressures are increasing day by day.it is most shocking that BOG has accepted 45 hours working for teachers in a week who deal with students in 1= 50 ratio which cannot be compared to any other departments.moreover the teachers have no EL.when we were asking for five days in a week(there we can work 8 hours a day when Saturdays and Sundays would be off like other central govt. employees.)But no discussion was done regarding our demands which the authority promised to solve by it’s 2nd September,2011 letter.what dissatisfaction the teachers will suffer from?

  • anjali das says:

i mean the BOG meeting held in January , not with our association.

its a welcome step.meetings should be regularly planned and organised.bhimsen panda p.g.t physics k.v barpeta.

  • rajesh kumar kukreti says:

majumdarji thank u very much for taking up many issues with the commissioner. hundreds of teachers are still waiting for their pay anomalies to be settled. juniors appointed on or after 2006 are drawing more salary than their senior counterparts appointed prior to 1-1-06 directly. seniority no. has been made mandatory whereas KVS headquqrters has not allotted seniority no to many teachers. increase in working hours of teachers is a shocking news for all teachers. please take up this issue also and ask the kvs authorities to look into the teacher friendly clauses of RTE. the need of five day week and 14 cl must be brought to the notice of KVS. PAY ANOMALIES BE SETTLED WITH SIMILAR PARAMETRES IN ALL REGIONS.

  • ASIF says:

So finally BOG nailed teachers by increasing working hours without any facilities with the hammer of RTE, many state govt revert it why not KVS or make it with 5 day week schedule by increasing 30 min more in a day.

Do least some thing for teachers also………… Ridiculous decision by BOG.

  • Ramesh Thakur says:

    Sir,
Any update on MACPS and pay revision issue? The teacher community is eagerly waiting for the good news from yourself Sir.

  • M.Murali Krishna says:

    Dear sir,

Increased working hours , reduced lunch break, more supervision with V.P’s ,8 period TT , what not all to squeeze teachers! No clarity on pay anomalies, No JCM, No MACP, No friendly approach to teachers , fixing result targets , suspensions, No seniority Numbers, what not all to wheeze teachers !

  • C.K.V.Kurup says:

    Dear sir,
Please request to the commissioner to keep in abeyance the implementation of the decision of the 91st BOG regarding the increased working hours of teachers as it comes under the perview of JCM meeting.KVS collected the agenda for the meeting in Sept.2011.RTE act is passed so as to improve the quality of elementary school education in India. Quality of education will improve only if the Student-teacher ratio is reduced. The RTE act says that the student-teacher ratio is 30:1 in primary but KVS says 40:1.Further, KVS says to admit 31 students in the first round as per the category and then to admit 10 students as RTE ACT as per the new admission guidelines. Therefore, total admission in class one is 31+10=41.Where is RTE Act?.Basically Kendriya Vidyalayas are for the admission of the wards of the transferable Central govt.employees. It should be exempted from the RTE Act.

    C.K.V.Kurup,KV.No1.Calicut.

  • R.K. Mishra Sirohi. says:

    Dear Majumdar sir,

91st BOG procedures are totally discouraging & disappointing to teachers in all respect. I don’t want to repeat the same pitiable story of a KV Teacher who is loosing breath under cut throat bureaucratic pressure and facing immense financial looses. You can understand all the issues better than me. Being our true leader kindly convey our officers a strong massage from our side.We are not orphan ,and let them realise that if a teacher can produce scientist like A.P.J. Kalam he can also produce a revolutionary like Bhagat Singh. All the best……!

  • MANISH BAJPAYEE says:

    Sir,

Where are you? What are doing? All decisions are against teachers and you are not speaking any thing? Are you want to go Moscow or Tehran to keep us unattempted?

    • A.S.Mazumdar says:

I can reply to you with befitting words.. but I take pity on your knowledge and intentions. Try to mature. One more advice, at least write correct English.

      • Ramanujam says:

        Mr.Mazumdar
I can understand your ire against disparaging personal comments. It is my request that the rancor behind the comments may be ignored in the larger interests of our teaching community. However, the frustration has come to stay.Despite all our good work, the authorities remain fastidious and vindictive.KVS is trying to break the backbone of the teachers. But the end result will be a whole generation of students without backbones. After all, teachers live by example, aren’t they? This bureaucratic teasing with the teachers will rear its ugly head now and then. The authorities know pretty well that KVS teachers will take any amount of workload ,with whimper, though. At this juncture, we have two clear options.Find political godfathers and fend for ourselves.Or mobilize a common legal fund and fight each injustice tooth and nail in the courts of law. Please, arrange for a wider discussion of our future course of action.Keep doing your good work in a great cause.

        • A.S.Mazumdar says:

I understand every thing, in spite of being at the threshold of superannuation retirement I am ready to take up matters of KV Teachers interest with intensity and determination. But to be frank, as the President I have some constraints. Some times I keep mum because opening up may damage the already fragile health of AIKVTA. But that does not mean I am totally oblivious of the developments. Pl. wait for some more time, every thing will be clear. It is a conspiracy against KV Teachers. Govt. wants to push the working hours of teachers issue through KVS because they know we are very scattered and only loosely tied through AIKVTA. KV teachers are the guinea pigs, all experiments and initiations are dumped on us. I wish the Govt dare to implement it in all states those who have adopted RTE act and implemented six CPC scales for their teachers. Lets together transform these odds against us to an opportunity, to bring cohesion amongst the KV teachers. Only a determined united action by all KV teachers may bring back the insensitive KVS management to their good sense on matters of teachers welfare and concern.

  • K.Baburajan says:

    Mr.Bajpayee sir

When respond kindly concentrate on the subject matter.
Emotional out burst will not help us to solve the issues.
Instead of discouraging , adopt encouraging strategies.
It is the duty of G. Secretary and CEC members to find out a solution.

That is possible only through healthy discussion.
Let us help each other by providing valuable suggestion as Mr.Kurup of KV Calicut NoI has given.

State Govts are introducing “Teachers Package” as per the RTE act adopting the ratio 30:1 in schools by providing all facilities to teachers to improve the quality of education By taking the teaching community into confidence through discussion at various level. They emphasis on the policy of providing quality education through happy and peaceful teachers.

As the leading educational institution of our country KVS has the responsibility to introduce RTE ACT in KVS with much responsibility and care without giving any hope for dissenter.

  • Anjali das says:

it is an attempt to destroy AIKVTA.Isn’t it? Why no CEC members are allowed in BOG when the teachers are the backbones of our society and we have enough members for recognition?
What attempts are taken by Mr. Mazumder and mr. malik?

  • K.Baburajan says:

As per the Model Timetable given in the KVS circular school starts at 7.30 am.
For a short while, during Mr.Khaire,s period this starting time was adopted and experienced.
Later when UPA came to power KVS allowed a starting time according to the local convenience and agreed to fix starting time as per the expert advice of VMC. So many school now starts as per the local needs of children.
7.30am time was abandoned in many school as per the advice of Pediatricians and psychologists considering the hardship of small children especially coming from far away places.
It is the duty of parents and teaching community to request KVS to take any decision of changing school time schedule after discussing with the teachers and parent community

  • M.Murali Krishna says:

    Dear sir,
In Hyderabad region schools are starting at 8:30 . In Some regions The schools are starting at 7:30 . As per the BOG the time schedule is only an example. It may start at 8:30 and continue till 2:40 with 8 period time table. Of course as per BOG additional time is looming on teachers to face that can be till 4PM or 3PM depending on the starting time. Considering the cases of two shift schools it is not known where the teachers accommodate themselves when they are supposed to stay in school for additional time when second shift starts. Second point -what is the time of departure of second shift teachers?. Will they stay in school till 7PM?. If RTE is to be implemented only for 1 to 8th standard- is the PGT cadre can leave early if they are dealing only +2 students? Hence KVS must explore many things before implementing the new timings. In addition to this – KV Teachers are not free in their home. They are in fact making Question Papers , correct the answer papers , prepare for the lesson and what not. KVS must understand that already teachers are burdened with lot of HOME WORK.By detaining the teachers in school nether it is possible for the teachers to work in the school set up as there will be lot of disturbances and nor they will be able to complete the HOME Work as their stay in the home is reduced. Hence i request all the teachers to put your points in this site and let all know our difficulties.Let us see how best we can project our problems through our leaders.

      Sir,
U R right.RTE is for free compulsory education for 5 yrs to 14 years children. If the real aim is replaced by giving pain to teachers what results the country is going to get?Why not Prof Yashpal is being consulted regarding the 45 hours for primary teachers community from class I to VIII?We should arise this question to KVS authority.
the students come from multicultural backgrounds with different needs. It is the KVS teachers community for whom KVS has reached on the top.Is it tolerable to deal with them in such a way?

Smt.Rajakumari Gautam V commissioner, KVS (swamysnews Feb issue)
The noble profession of teachers, teaching the young people, is deteriorating in its duties on both sides, namely ADMINISTRATORS OF SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS.Such deterioration needs to be halted by giving proper attention from both sides.
” Before parting with the case, the Tribunal expressed its anguish in the deterioration of standards of morality on both sides namely, administrative side and the side of teaching faculty. Such deteriorating position needs to be arrested and authoritives may have to bestow attention in this regard.”
Please read swamys news Feb.issue, CAT Judgments corner.

KVS approach ,now a days is very hostile towards teachers. In another recent judgement in Ernakulam bench the Judge remarked that KVS had shown indecent haste by giving Transfer order and relieving order together through a messenger, without giving opportunity to agitate against their transfer. For getting their dues, employees have to approach the court, even for petty issues by spending huge amount from their pockets.KVS plays with tax payer’s money.Grievance redressal mechanism is only in papers.Teacher’s association has to take up such issues very seriously.

Dear Mr Mazumdar and Mr Malik,

KVS rescheduled the Summer holidays and winter break. As per KVS summer holidays are 40 days and winter holidays are 20 days. I request you to take up the issue of rescheduling the holidays and breaks in the light of the following points.

    1. In south including Orissa summer starts in the month of March and it is peak in April 3rd week till June 2nd week. Most of the state Govt schools start closing by 24th of April and open by 12th June in south. From March 3rd week half day school starts. It is very difficult for the KV students to attend school from May 1st. Now due to late closing date that is may 17th or so we are going to face the severe summer this year.
    2. Winter break of 20 days is a hara-kiri to class 12th teachers as children may not be available for revision and pre-board in Dec end and January as 20 days go for break. Jan is crucial for 12th students. Ultimately teachers will be asked to take remedial classes in winter break to see class 12th results better.
    3. In south PONGAL festival is the biggest festival. It is celebrated for three or 4 days starting from 13th. Traditionally it is reunion for most of the families and siblings living in different places. In Andhra Pradesh it is reported that the cities like Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam gets deserted as many people leave to meet their parents and other blood relations living in villages. Due to change in winter break school reopens on 13th which is starting day that is Bhogi festival followed by sankrantri and Kanuma. Our teachers can not take a CL/EL as the day of festivall is opening day.
Keeping the above points in mind i request you to see that holidays and breaks may be kept as usual like earlier . Or the winter holidays can be cut short to 15 days and increase 5 days in summer. This may help the teachers in south.
    Thanking You
